An egg is a complete protein, meaning it contains all the amino acids that the human body requires. Also, it's one of the few foods to naturally contain vitamin D.

How Can Nutritional Therapy Optimise Your Health?

In the 1950s, government testing of recommended daily allowance (RDA) levels of specific nutrients showed that two peaches were enough to meet a woman's Vitamin A RDA. Today, that same woman would need to eat nearly 53 peaches! This is just one reason why supplementation has become so essential. Supplements should not be viewed as a passing trend but as an important part of daily nutrition.
Over the past 30 years, cases of asthma, hay fever, and food allergies have nearly doubled. Modern eating habits and environmental pollution play a major role in this. While we may not be able to control our environment, we can control what we eat and drink.

How Can I Support You?

As a qualified and experienced Functional Medicine PSA accredited Registered Nutritionist® and Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I can support you in identifying any nutritional deficiencies you may have. I will advise on which foods may be causing health issues and recommend food supplements and lifestyle changes to support your body in achieving balance (homeostasis). Nutritional therapy can optimise your health, but it requires a willingness to change eating and drinking habits, which I have been successful in supporting clients with.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is a science-based, holistic, patient-centred approach to assessing, preventing, and supporting you with complex health conditions and chronic diseases. By identifying biochemical and physiological imbalances that cause health problems, Functional Medicine addresses these through nutrition and lifestyle management, going to the root cause rather than just the symptoms.

Principles of Functional Medicine:

Evidence-based

Grounded in scientific research.

Safety

Focused on safe, non-invasive methods.

Effectiveness

Supports the body's natural healing process.

Prevention & Wellness

A proactive approach to maintaining health.

Many medical practitioners today recognise the importance of specific nutritional advice and refer their patients to qualified Functional Medicine, PSA accredited, Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioners.

Check with your medical insurance provider to see whether nutritional therapy consultations are covered, without the need for a referral. I will then provide a letter for you to claim back the cost of your nutritional package.

The Functional Medicine

Nutritional Therapy Protocol

The Functional Medicine approach views food as medicine, not just fuel for the body.

My two-step protocol ensures personalised care:

We will complete the ION Nutritional Therapy Questionnaire together, discussing your health concerns and focusing on underlying causes. I may request lab tests through your GP or hospital. This consultation takes up to 1.5 hours for one person or 2 hours for couples.

Second Consultation

Based on your needs, I will have created a personalised food plan with supplements and advise on lifestyle changes.

You’ll receive full support for two weeks or one month, with daily (Monday-Friday) progress checks via text, WhatsApp, Skype, email, or phone.

Complex Package

A third consultation will take place after one month to review your progress and make necessary adjustments.
